FAQ
-
Will I receive a diagnosis?
We believe people are more than labels. A diagnosis isn’t required for most clients, and we often avoid one unless it’s genuinely helpful for your care. If you plan to use insurance, a diagnosis is typically required for reimbursement and documentation.
-
How much does therapy cost?
Session fees vary by therapist—please check each clinician’s profile for current rates. We accept HSA/FSA and all major credit cards, and payment is due at the time of service. We also reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots; ask your therapist if that option may be available. If you’re not using insurance, you can request a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before starting services.
-
Can I do virtual sessions?
Yes—telehealth is available. We provide online sessions through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform. Two of our therapists offer telehealth exclusively, and we also ask clients to join from a private, secure space to protect your confidentiality.
-
What if I need to cancel my session?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less notice are charged the full session fee, due on the day of your original appointment. We’ll waive the first late cancellation as a one-time courtesy, but no-shows are charged in full.
If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we’ll need to reschedule and the full session fee will apply. We understand that life happens, and we appreciate your respect for your time and ours so we can provide the best care possible.
-
What can I expect in therapy for sexual concerns?
In sessions focused on sexual concerns, you can expect a supportive, talk-therapy approach—touch is never part of treatment. We are mental health therapists and do not provide sex surrogacy, gynecological care, or physical therapy services. We’ll take time to understand your concerns, collaborate on goals that feel comfortable for you, and offer practical tools and strategies to try outside of sessions. If your needs would be better supported by another type of provider, we’re happy to help with referrals.

How do I know which therapist is the right fit?
Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to get it perfect on the first try. Start by reading our therapist profiles and noticing who you feel drawn to. In your first session, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for and what support feels most helpful—fit is something we can figure out together. We highly recommend scheduling a free 15-minute consultation with our therapists to give you and the therapist to feel out if it is a good fit before you invest your money into treatment.
