D’ominique Elie

She/Her MA, LPCC

First, let me say thank you for considering me to walk this journey with you. I know that therapy isn’t easy and healing isn’t linear. I want you to know how brave you are for taking the first step to finding a therapist—I know it wasn’t easy. I believe that allowing clients the space to be heard, valued, understood, safe and authentic is key to fostering trust within the therapeutic relationship and ultimately facilitating change. You are the expert of your own life and I’m simply here to help you navigate the challenges and roadblocks, and ultimately help you overcome those mountains that seem impossible to climb.

My goal as a therapist is to encourage you, while holding a mirror up to you and allowing you to see all the parts of you. Even the parts that are hard to look at at times and showing you that even the parts that are hard to look at are beautiful and make up a whole you.  I want you to be your whole, authentic self in whatever capacity that looks like for you. I want you to feel seen and validated as you walk this journey with me.

I know this journey isn’t easy, however I’m so thankful that you’re taking the first steps to taking back your power and what’s rightfully yours. I hope that you’ll allow me to walk this journey of rediscovering your peace, joy, happiness and increased quality of life with you.  Remember, you are truly worthy and deserving of a life worth living, and a life that makes you smile each day.

Modalities Used in Session

  • Eclectic therapy integrates techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches to meet your unique needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, this approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based methods to support meaningful, individualized change.

  • The Gottman Method helps couples strengthen their relationship by improving communication, deepening connection, and navigating conflict more effectively. It uses practical, research-based tools to help partners understand each other better, build trust, and create a more supportive, fulfilling partnership.

  • Feminist theory helps you understand how your experiences and identities shape your life and relationships. It’s collaborative, empowering, and focused on helping you reclaim your voice, strength, and sense of self.

  • Attachment Theory helps you understand how early relationships shape the way you connect, communicate, and feel in your current relationships. In therapy, we explore these patterns together so you can create healthier, more secure ways of relating to yourself and the people you care about.

  • Existential Therapy focuses on meaning, choice, and responsibility in the face of life’s uncertainties. This approach supports clients in exploring identity, values, freedom, and how past experiences shape present decisions—helping create a life that feels more intentional and aligned.

Outside of the Office

I am a firm believer that life is what you make it, and pink is the ultimate color on the color wheel!! I'm constantly curating a life that is worth living. A life filled with a multitude of colors, animal prints, fun accessories, bedazzled shoes, love, joy, peace, laughter and fun. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, exploring coffee shops and making new memories with my loved ones. There’s no day but today, so make it count, measure it in love and know that your life is what you make of it.

Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. They’re what make the instrument stretch, what makes you go beyond the norm.
