Taylor Svach
She/They MA, MFT
Hey, I'm glad you're here. I know that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and finding someone you feel comfortable opening up to share your story with is an important step. I’m here to help.
As a marriage and family therapist, I’m trained to look at people through a relational, systemic lens, meaning that I pay attention to how the different parts of your life connect and influence one another. I see both couples and individuals who need support feeling more connected to themselves and those around them. I bring a trauma-informed, sex-positive approach to therapy, and integrate evidence-based approaches such as Emotion-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method in my practice. I enjoy working with conflict, depression, trauma, LGBTQI+ populations, and life transitions.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, grounded in relationship and trust. When we feel understood it becomes easier to explore our inner world, challenge patterns that no longer serve us, and create meaningful change. In our work together, I want you to feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported on your healing journey. My role is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and practical guidance as you move towards the changes that matter to you most.

Therapeutic Lens
-
A big-picture approach that looks at how your symptoms are shaped and maintained by the patterns around you—relationships, roles, communication cycles, and the larger environment. Instead of focusing only on “what’s wrong with you,” we map what’s happening between people (and within your context), identify repeating feedback loops, and make small, strategic changes that shift the whole system toward more safety, clarity, and connection.
-
EFT helps individuals and couples understand the emotions and patterns that shape their relationships. By identifying core feelings and needs, it supports creating safer, more connected interactions so partners can move from disconnection to closeness, security, and emotional bonding.
-
The Gottman Method helps couples strengthen their relationship by improving communication, deepening connection, and navigating conflict more effectively. It uses practical, research-based tools to help partners understand each other better, build trust, and create a more supportive, fulfilling partnership.
-
Attachment Theory helps you understand how early relationships shape the way you connect, communicate, and feel in your current relationships. In therapy, we explore these patterns together so you can create healthier, more secure ways of relating to yourself and the people you care about.
Outside of the Office
I’m always bouncing between my love for a cozy night in and getting out to explore. Some days I just want to settle in on the couch with my partner and our pup to watch a good movie, or dive into a new craft project. Other days, I’m all about being out and about—checking out local coffee shops, thrifting, or seeing live music.
“Effectively expressing your emotional needs is even better than the other person magically reading your mind. It means that you’re an active agent who can be heard, and it opens the door for a much richer emotional dialogue.”
